When does the toll calculation start?
Only after you choose a valid start and destination and press the calculation button. Opening the page does not request a route from Google.
Does TripCost include ramp tolls?
Yes, when the route actually enters or exits through that ramp. Passing close to a ramp toll does not count as a charge.
Can I compare an avoid-tolls route?
When a meaningful alternative is available, the result shows the toll difference with its driving time and distance. You can continue to the full trip-cost tool for fuel and total cost.
